The Republic was voted the #1 course in San Antonio by the Express-News in 2006, 2007, and 2009. Designed by Art Schaupeter and built along the scenic Salado Creek, the course is known for player-friendly features such as wide fairways, generous landing areas, and open approaches. The fairways are lined with tall, mature oaks, elms, and mesquite trees, and the greens are well protected by bunkers, so shot making is still required to post a good score. The Republic is just 10 minutes from downtown San Antonio’s world famous Riverwalk.
